1. Taboo Plaza

Get out of our basements and get out of our lives.
Worry about what you have to worry about.
It's amazing to me that I live in a relatively Christian nation and yet there are so many people casting judgments and stones at me in the form laws.  It is important to keep in mind that casting a stone at a harlot was law when Jesus derided the practice.
I can't gamble online with my own money that I worked to earn.
I can't rent a prostitute with her consent and my own money without fear of being labeled.
I can't go down to the corner grocery store and purchase marijuana to smoke on my own personal time in the privacy of my own home without a job opportunity turning into a drug screen.
It's ridiculous how much we try to control one another in this democracy of ours.  What is the worst thing to happen if two fags prance through a ceremony and call themselves married at the end?  What tragedy will occur if Johnny Snotrocket goes down to his local liquor store and bypasses Jack Daniels to purchase a couple of cc's of herion then nods out near his couch at home?  Where is the crime in drinking alcohol and then safely driving home without hitting anyone or anything?
The crime is in the minds of the people who feel it necessary to instruct the rest of us on how we should live.  It is easy to justify fear, because everyone has something they fear.  Most people, it seems, have a lot to be afraid of.  Extrapolate the fear beyond the present situation, take a fear and play it out to its absolute worse conclusion and then use that judgment to blanket everything in this world as bad.
Everything except the dirty little practices you conduct behind closed doors while you spank your pud like a dirty little monkey.
Get out of my life.
I don't want to be in yours.
If consenting adults do no harm to those around them, there is nothing wrong with what they're doing.  If it bothers you then practice what Jesus preached and mind your own business.  For a nation of Christians, we live among many people quick to judge.
For far too long, few voices rise up among the masses to say; either live by the virtues you profess or denounce your own religion as false.  If a heroin addict chooses to shoot up until they die, so be it.  If a philanderer chooses to risk burning in hell for the love of a prostitute, so be it.  If a pot head goes broke because she's too lazy to get a job: so be it.
If a child molester chooses to touch children inappropriately: catch them, castrate them, throw them in prison to be molested by bigger, burlier men.
Our laws should protect us from one another.
Our laws should not profess to protect us from ourselves.
Here's a call to all true Christians.
Pull the rest of your brethren from the bully pulpit from which they chuck their rocks at the rest of us.

8. Tip of the week

Work really hard and then take a break.  When I say take a break I mean really do nothing.  Don't move if you can afford that kind of leisure time.  Release yourself from the schedule and the stress of expectations.  Relax without the anxiety that something needs to be done.  Work really hard and then become a vegetable.
