February 27th Birthdays

(1807) Henry Longfellow- I can't say that I'm a huge fan, but he built his legacy on letters and that's respectable.

(1902)
John Steinbeck- Steinbeck is as cool as the Beatles.  For the sensitivity he expressed toward people and illuminating the cruel nature of poverty in America, there's no better writer in my book.

(1940) Howard Hesseman- It's Dr. Johnny Fever!  This guy was a legend in the 80's.

(1947) Louis Clark-  ELO made some really good music.

(1955) Neal Schon- Journey romanticized their age.

(1959) Johnny Van Zant- Keeping the Lynyrd Skynyrd legacy alive.  Freebird, man!
