March 15th Birthdays

(1767) Andrew Jackson- He was the 7th President of the United States of America.  This guy was an enigma.  Positives: he wanted to eliminate the Electoral College and the Second Bank of the United States.  Negatives: He killed a lot of Native Americans and he owned slaves.

(1912) Lightning Hopkins- Old black blues men in America never got the love they should've and if
they did they probably wouldn't write music like this.

(1935) Judd Hirsch- It's Alex Reiger!

(1940) Phil Lesh- The Grateful Dead started a movement that carried on for a long time.  There's no place to buy brownies that look like they were rolled with someone's feet in a dirty parking lot anymore.

(1941) Mike Love- The Beach Boys had their moments.

(1943) Iron Sheik- He's the guy that made Hulk Hogan's championship reign possible.

(1944) Sly Stone- I didn't realize until recently how similar funk music is to psychedelic rock
music.

(1975) Will I Am- He's been involved in some great musical projects.
